Games with minimal or no equipment.

In PE we have been participating in a variety of games that require little or no equipment.
Below is the Matrix which shows our progression in this unit of learning.

The table below shows my understanding of games with minimal or no equipment.

Examples of Games that need minimal or no equipment.
What equipment would we usually need to play these games.
Why do we play games with minimal or no equipment?
Tag, Octopus, Invisible tag, Dodge ball, Bench ball, Netball, Basketball, Cricket, ectCones, Bibs, Balls, Bats. ectTo get involved, and if you are going to play a game and you only have some equipment with you or no equipment.

My Strengths.
Some things that I have done well during this unit of learning are Getting involved in the games even if I don't want to because when we were playing french cricket I didn't want to have a go but I did it anyway and I hit it really far.

My Next Steps.
Some things I could improve on when playing games with minimal or no equipment are interacting with the other players because I get involved in the game but don't get involved with the players.

Leadership Article

In writing I have been learning to:
  • use all basic punctuation independently
  • attempt more complex punctuation (e.g. semicolons, colons, parentheses)

I have been especially focusing on using parentheses and commas. I have highlighted these in green where I have used them as well as other punctuation that I changed because it was used incorrectly. Here is a piece of my writing that shows this.

Being goal focused is just knowing your goal and working towards it. An example of a leader that was goal focused is Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela showed this trait by knowing what his goal was and working towards it, even though that got him sent to jail. As a peer mediator I need to be goal focused to help solve the problems. I will demonstrate this trait by knowing what I need to do and work towards my goal. As well as being goal Focused, being Motivational is one of the traits as well.

Run Bike Run for 2017

Run Bike Run
The run bike run was on today... The 8th of March 2017. We went to Westlake park to do it. You could be in a team or go as an individual. I went as a team with Amber.G, I did the running and Amber did the biking then we both did the end run. The first run you had to run around the big lake, the bike you had to go around the big lake and the little one, making a figure eight, then the last run was around the path on the field next to the park. Amber and I came fifth out of all of the year 7/8 teams.
We were so proud. Next year I might even do it as an individual!

Tuesday the 14th - Peer Mediation Extra

Peer Mediation - Extra
Today I did Peer Mediation with Daniel and Amber because unfortunately the other person didn't come and we couldn't find her. I helped with a girl who couldn't find her friend and another girl who couldn't get down from a climbing wall. It wasn't much but I did help when it wasn't my turn for Peer Mediation.

Tuesday the 14th - Peer Mediation

Peer Mediation
For Peer Mediation today I went with Scott and Jordan to the junior area. Me and my group helped to solve two problems; We helped a little kid who had been getting his hat taken for a few days. So, we helped him find it and he said it would be nice for the boy who did it to say sorry, and not do it again. We also helped with a couple of little kids who had been getting chased by another group of boys over and over again, what we helped with was just how they could maybe not chase them and the kids thought that if they said sorry than that would be just fine.
